Choosing your wedding photographer is a big decision - you want beautiful photos that you can look back on for years to come - but you also want to work with someone you’re comfortable with and can trust to capture how it felt in those moments so that you can relive the story of that incredible day over and over again.
I'm a storyteller and visual artist from Winnipeg, Manitoba. Born into a large family - the youngest of 17 cousins for the first half of my life, I'm drawn to the quiet intimacy of photography and its use in documenting the stories of our lives.
I'm inspired by the bittersweet beauty of those old family photographs, stacked in dusty shoeboxes, pulled from their shelves and poured over every few years - and the memories that come flooding back of those messy, frozen moments in time.
I have a keen eye for capturing both the boldest flashes of genuine, boisterous human joy, as well as the closer, more hushed moments that can sometimes slip by in the midst of the beautiful chaos of life.
I’m a laid-back, go-with-the-flow kind of person. I work to make couples portraits feel like a casual hang out and a chance to get to know each other, capturing your natural chemistry and avoiding poses that
feel forced.
Also, trust me, you don’t need a lot to create beautiful photographs. Let’s find a spot with some good light and we have everything we need.
On your wedding day there is a lot going on - let’s use that reserved time for portraits to slow it down a step, let’s go for a stroll and the two of you can relish in the quiet pre or post wedding moments while I capture a few photos.

Frequently asked questions
Are you available for travel?
YES. Of course. I love to travel. Whether that's an elopement to some cliffs in the middle of nowhere or a small ceremony in your favourite place or a giant gathering of friends and family in some remote location. Count me in.
What are your thoughts on engagement shoots?
Love them. They're a great way to have some fun before your wedding day and for us to get to know each other. They help me to understand you and what is important to you. That way you can trust that I'll be keeping an eye out for all of those important people, relationships, details and feelings on your wedding day. It is important that we jive together if I'm going to be there on your wedding day. Plus they help you to become comfortable in front of the lens and you get some nice images of the two of you to boot.
What is your shooting style?
That's tough. I strive to capture the raw and genuine emotion along with an interesting and beautiful photo. I want to capture the feeling of the day so that when you look back on these images, you'll remember the myriad of emotions you felt that day. I hope to always be present to capture those small moments (and the large ones), but never interfering with what is happening. I try to stay away from directing, aside from family and bridal party portraits, and let the day roll as it would. I want your day to feel easy and wonderful, and for you to enjoy the rollercoaster of the day.
How many images can we expect?
Many! The grand total is dependent on the wedding, but you can expect to see 50-70 images per hour. Don't worry, you won't feel like anything is missing or that you need more images. If you'd like to see some client galleries for an example, please reach out!
Do you work with a second shooter?
That is entirely up to you. It can be nice to have an alternate set of eyes to capture another angle of the day’s events, but I am more than confident shooting alone and being quick on my toes. I'll capture that quick hug with grandma at one end and the belly laughter happening at the other.
How can we book you?
Send me an email, and I can send over a price guide for you to take a look at. After that, it's simply a signed contract and a retainer fee of $800 to reserve your date.
What are the turnaround times?
6-8 weeks for full galleries from your wedding day, but don't fret, you'll receive a gallery of gems from the day within the first two weeks. 2-3 weeks for engagement or family session galleries.
Can you help with the wedding timeline?
You bet! Having done this thing for 10+ years and who knows how many weddings, I've learnt a thing or two about wedding planning and timelines. I am here to answer any of the questions you have. Just send me a message!
How do we get our photos?
You'll receive all of the high-resolution images through a beautiful online gallery where you are free to download, share with family and friends, and order prints and albums so that you have some physical copies of your photos. Please don't let your wedding photos sit on your computer or an external hard drive my friends.
